All of Us Have a Story

All of Us Have a Story

When I’m telling my story, I often imagine people sitting there saying to themselves, “Yeah, that’s a pretty amazing story but nothing like that's ever happened to me and I doubt it ever will.” I know that’s what I used to think - I didn’t feel like anyone ever wanted or needed to hear my story. However, I realize now that I couldn’t have been more wrong! Long before May 3rd, 2012, long before my near-fatal car accident, long before I sustained my life-changing traumatic brain injury, I already had a story to tell - I just didn’t know it yet.

All of us have a story to tell! Despite what many of us think and what the world seems to be constantly trying to convince us, our stories don’t need some sort of emotionally driven plot line to make a difference or to serve a purpose. No matter how boring we think they are or how pointless we feel it would be to share them, I’m convinced that each one of us has a story that needs to be told - a story that someone, somewhere needs to hear.
