This past week, I had a chance to meet with Pastor Darren Whitehead at his office to tell him our story. After he heard it, he said it went along with his sermon for the upcoming Sunday so he asked me if I would be willing to come up on stage with him and share it. I immediately began coming up with numerous excuses why that wouldn't be a good idea.
I started to become convicted. I have talked a lot on my blog about being more courageous when sharing your faith/story and here I was thinking of reasons why I shouldn't or couldn't. This didn't seem right to me. I don't want to just to talk the talk but to walk the walk. I don't want to encourage people to do things I am not willing to do myself.
So, I said yes. Here is the video of me being interviewed by Pastor Darren and sharing my story at Church of the City here in Franklin, TN on March 19th, 2017.
